汤旺河石林景区

The Tangwanghe Forest and Rock Scenic Area in Yichun, Heilongjiang is a breathtaking tourist destination that combines nature and culture.

Geological Landforms and Natural Resources

Characteristic Landforms**: The Tangwanghe Forest and Rock Scenic Area is characterized by rare granite rock forest landscapes, and it is currently the only geological relic of the Indosinian period in China that is most complete in type, most typical in development, and richest in modeling. The rock forests here are lifelike and varied, possessing high scientific research and aesthetic value.

Natural Resources: The scenic area is lush with vegetation and verdant mountains, hosting a large number of ancient pine trees, white birches, and other trees, as well as abundant wildlife resources. It serves as a natural oxygen bar, providing visitors with a fresh and serene natural environment.

Main Attractions:

  • One-Line Sky: Formed by two stone peaks more than ten meters high, with a gap of only a few tens of centimeters between them, creating a straight-up-and-down slit that can only accommodate one person. It is a masterpiece of nature's ingenuity.

  • Xiaoping Stone (Hongyun Stone): The main landmark of the scenic area, named after Comrade Deng Xiaoping's inspection here.

  • Doujin Stone: Unique in shape, named after its resemblance to a rice measure, it is a spectacle within the scenic area.

  • Arhat Turtle: Legend has it that people who climb this stone peak can increase their lifespan, making it an attraction rich in legendary color.

Unique Experiences:

  • Strolling through the dense forest, admiring the Xing'an rocks, appreciating exotic trees and flowers, and listening to the murmur of streams, allowing one's mind to relax and find tranquility.

  •  During autumn, the mountains are covered in red leaves, creating a splendid color palette, making it an excellent spot for photos.

Human History and Legends

Human History: The origin of the name Tangwanghe is closely related to the local forestry development. In 1958, superiors decided to establish the Dongtang Forestry Bureau here, which was later renamed Dongfeng Forestry Bureau due to Comrade Mao Zedong's slogan "East Wind Outweighs West Wind." During a later geographical name survey, it was renamed Tangwanghe District due to multiple names for one place and inconsistency between the district name and the resident railway station name.

Legends: Many attractions in the scenic area, such as the Arhat Turtle, have rich legends associated with them, adding more interest and cultural connotation for visitors.
