Liaoning Province

Liaoning Province is located in the southern part of Northeast China, with its capital in Shenyang. The terrain is higher in the north and lower in the south, with mountains and hills arranged in the east and west, and the central plains gradually descending. The climate is temperate monsoon. Liaoning boasts a variety of natural landscapes, including mountains, lakes, coastlines, caves, and springs. Mountain scenic areas such as Qianshan, Phoenix Mountain, and Yiwulü Mountain attract tourists with their steep peaks and beautiful natural scenery. Lakes like Salhu and Tanghe offer peaceful lakeshores and surrounding landscapes, making them ideal for relaxation and vacation. Coastal views in Dalian, Jinzhou, and East Coast are renowned for their magnificent sea vistas and rich marine resources, which leave visitors mesmerized. Additionally, the karst caves of Benxi Water Cave and Zhuanghe Xianren Cave, as well as hot springs such as Tanggangzi Hot Springs and Wulongbei Hot Springs, are also important natural features of Liaoning.

Liaoning has a long history and deep cultural heritage. The Shenyang Imperial Palace, built during the early Qing Dynasty, witnessed the rise and fall of the Qing Empire and the historical changes of Shenyang. It is one of only two remaining royal palaces in China. The Beiling Park (Qing Zhao Ling), with its majestic royal tomb architecture and rich cultural history, has become a symbolic landmark of Shenyang. Furthermore, Liaoning is home to six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Jiuyuekou Great Wall, Zhao Tomb, Fuling Tomb, Yongling Tomb, and Wuyueshan City, which highlight its deep historical and cultural roots.

Liaoning's folk customs are unique, reflecting the integration of multiple ethnic cultures. Traditional foods, such as the Manchu Eight Great Bowls, offer a variety of rich flavors that allow visitors to experience the region's culinary culture. The folk art of Er Ren Zhuan, with its distinctive performances and humorous content, brings joy and surprises to audiences. Moreover, Liaoning's folk festivals and celebrations are diverse, with activities like temple fairs and lantern festivals during the Spring Festival, all filled with strong local cultural atmosphere and festive spirit.
